I booked and fully pre-paid for a non-refundable Queen Size room two weeks in advance. At approximately 4:00 PM on the day of my arrival, I received a call from an unidentified hotel representative who informed me that there were no more Queen Size rooms available, and only a room with twin beds could be provided. ​The representative stated that if I was not "OK" with the downgrade, I should cancel the booking. As the reservation was non-refundable and I was due to start a critical professional seminar at 5:00 PM, finding new accommodations at that hour was impossible. I was therefore forced to accept a room that did not match the class and size I paid for, effectively being downgraded. Key Issues: ​Breach of Contract: I pre-paid for a specific room type that the hotel failed to provide. ​Unprofessional Communication: I was called by an employee who failed to identify himself and presented an ultimatum rather than a solution. ​Lack of Compensation: I received no offer of compensation for the inconvenience, the inferior room type, or the forced nature of the downgrade.
